Sox Beat Angels 3-2, Move On To ALCS!

Tied at 2 in the 9th, with 1 man on and 2 outs, Jed Lowrie singled to drive in Jason Bay. Game, set, match.

Who would have thought that the Sox could dominate the Angels with Lester as the stud, backed by a cast of rookies and newbies? Amazing. I love these guys!

(In a fraternal way, of course.)

It's Gino Time!

Wow...

Thank God I didn't give up and go to bed. This was a game I'll remember for a long time.

It was the most incredible comeback I've ever seen, after the worst first half I've ever seen.

They were down by as much as 24 in the first half, and they still came back to win, on the road, against the Lakers...

Wow.

The Celts are really in command of this series now with a 3 to 1 lead. It would be an awesome Father's Day gift to see them clinch it on Sunday.

For now, let's just revel in the moment, and watch Gino dance. Feel free to dance along.

Red Sox are World Champions!

Once again the Rockies made a late inning surge but the Sox held on, beating Colorado 4-3 in game 4 to become World Champions again.

Lester was great in his first post season start, throwing 5 and 2/3 innings of shutout baseball. Delcarmen, Timlin and Okajima came in in relief with Manny and Oki giving up 1 and 2 runs respectively, but Papelbon shut the door on the series and the Rockies season.

Mike Lowell had a double in the 5th, scoring on a head first slide at the plate and a solo home run in the 7th and was named series MVP. SIGN HIM, THEO!

How great is this team? Everyone came up big at one time or another during this championship run. Everyone.

The best thing is that so many of these guys are just starting out. I think we're gonna see some great baseball in this town for quite a while.
